Profil :
Qualifications & Requirements:
✔️ Valid 300kW, 500kW, or 750kW/Class 3 Marine Engineer License
✔️ Experience working on tugboats, barges, or similar vessels
✔️ Strong knowledge of diesel engines, generators, and auxiliary systems
✔️ Proficiency in electrical, hydraulic, and ship plumbing systems
✔️ Ability to conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs
✔️ Experience in marine watchstanding and maintaining operational readiness
✔️ Familiarity with maritime safety regulations and environmental compliance
✔️ Must be physically fit and able to work in demanding conditions
✔️ Willingness to work away from Port Vila for extended periods
✔️ Fluent in English (Bislama/French a plus)
Descritpion du Poste & Compétences
Ocean Logistics Limited is seeking experienced and licensed Marine Engineers (300kW, 500kW, 750kW/Class 3) to join our fleet of tugboats and barges. The role requires highly skilled professionals capable of maintaining and repairing vessel systems while ensuring smooth operations in both domestic and international waters.
This is a hands-on role that demands expertise in engine operations, electrical systems, hydraulics, ship plumbing, and marine watchstanding. Engineers will be expected to work away from Port Vila, often on extended voyages, supporting Ocean Logistics' growing regional logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Engine Room Operations & Watchstanding: Monitor and maintain vessel engines, generators, and auxiliary systems during voyages.
🔹 Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance: Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues onboard.
🔹 Plumbing & Fluid Systems: Maintain and repair pumps, piping, fuel, water, and bilge systems onboard.
🔹 Preventative Maintenance & Repairs: Ensure all critical systems are in working order to minimize downtime.
🔹 Emergency Repairs & Response: Troubleshoot and address urgent mechanical and electrical failures.
🔹 Record-Keeping & Compliance: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance, repairs, fuel consumption, and engine performance.
🔹 Safety & Environmental Compliance: Adhere to all maritime safety protocols and environmental regulations.
🔹 Voyage Support: Assist with vessel operations in both domestic and international waters as required.
